Scheduling an Event

Topic Progress:

You can schedule an event — a non-patient “appointment” — to block out time in the Appointment Book and close your operatories for a day or up to four weeks. You can use this feature to schedule events, such as staff meetings, equipment repairs, remodeling, or even vacations.

Additional Tips

  • You can schedule events up to one year in advance.
  • Since the text of an event time block is black, select a color for the text block that is easy to read.
  • If you attempt to schedule an event where an appointment already exists, you will receive a warning message.
  • You can move a scheduled event as you would an appointment — you can drag it to a new time, move it to the Pinboard, or manually edit the date and time.
  • To learn more about scheduling an event, read Scheduling Events for Operatories and Closing the Office for a Day in Dentrix Help.
