Scheduling an Appointment for an Existing Patient

The most common function you’ll perform in the Appointment Book is scheduling an appointment for an existing patient. Each appointment includes a lot of valuable information, and it’s imperative that appointments are scheduled correctly and include all pertinent information.

Additional Tips

  • When you select an Additional Provider for the appointment, that provider’s name becomes a selection option when completing the appointment. By default, a provider will be assigned to all patient procedures in that appointment.

  2. Use the following information to schedule an appointment for an existing patient:
    • Patient: Brent Crosby
    • Appointment Detail: Schedule for next Thursday at 3:30 pm in operatory 2. He is complaining about pain in his lower molars, so schedule him for a limited oral evaluation.
    • Modify Appointment: Change the length of the appointment to 20 minutes, all provider time.
