Locating an Existing Appointment

Topic Progress:

When a patient asks when their next appointment is scheduled, you need to be able to find that information quickly. Dentrix makes it easy to locate an existing appointment with just a few mouse clicks.

Additional Tips

  • In addition to these Appointment Book tools, you can also use the Continuing Care module to find existing appointments.
  • After you find an existing appointment, double-click it to open it and view the appointment’s information.
  • You can use the More Info button (from any Dentrix module) whenever you have a patient selected. For example, if you’re in the Ledger for a specific patient when the patient asks about their next appointment, click the More Info button to view upcoming appointment information for that patient and/or their family.
  • When you use the Locate Existing Appointment feature in the search results, you may see a line dividing the list of appointments. All appointments above the line are scheduled for a future date, and all appointments below the line were scheduled in the past.
  • To learn more about locating an existing appointment, read Locating Appointments from the Appointment Book, Viewing Patients’ Other Appointments, or Viewing More Patient Information in Dentrix Help.
