Printing an Insurance Claim

Topic Progress:

When you create insurance claims, you’ll have a choice to submit them electronically or print the claim to paper. With Dentrix, you can perform these functions in different ways.

Watch the following video to learn how to print an insurance claim. (Duration 3:26)

Additional Tips

  • To send claims electronically, you must first register to use eServices. To do so, read Setting up Electronic Claims in Dentrix Help.
  • When using either of the Today’s Procedures options, you don’t have to preselect the procedures in the Ledger. Dentrix creates the claim based on all procedures with today’s date.
  • Avoid exiting the Primary Dental Insurance Claim window without batching, sending, or printing a claim. Doing so may leave the claim in a “created” state, where it can more easily be forgotten and/or lost. To identify these claims, run the Insurance Claims to Process report regularly.
  • To learn more about printing batched insurance claims, read Batch Processing Primary Dental Insurance Claims in Dentrix Help.
