Assigning an Employer to a Patient

Assigning an employer to a patient in Dentrix helps you group patients and makes it easier to find the patient’s insurance plan. When you attach an employer to a patient’s record, Dentrix uses that employer to look up the insurance carrier attached to that employer, making it easier for you to find the correct insurance plan for the patient.

Additional Tips

  • If you don’t check to see if you have already entered the employer before you add a new employer, you may end up with duplicates. Since deleting duplicate employers can be time-consuming, ensure that the employer is not already in the database before you add a new one.
