Generating the Utilization Report for Dental Insurance

Topic Progress:

With numerous insurance plans and policies available, you’ll periodically need to reevaluate your participation with PPO insurance carriers. For instance, you’ll want to assess the number of patients using each plan and the amount of money being deducted when you charge the carrier’s contracted fees, instead of your own. The Utilization Report for Dental Insurance can help you with these tasks!

Additional Tips

  • This report can be easier to use if insurance carrier names are entered consistently into Dentrix. For example, carriers entered as “Delta Dental of Washington” and “Washington Delta Dental” would not appear together in alphabetical order.
  • The dates for the Select Procedure Date fields defaults from the 1st of the current month to the current date.
