Editing an Insurance Fee Schedule

Topic Progress:

Do you sometimes wonder if your insurance estimates are accurate? To help ensure that your insurance estimates are correct, it’s important to periodically request updated fee schedules from the insurance carriers that your office participates with. Once you receive them, you can then edit your Dentrix fee schedules to keep them accurate.

Watch the following video to learn how to edit an insurance fee schedule. (Duration 1:22)

Additional Tips

  • The difference between the fees in the BEFORE column and the AFTER column appears in the Difference column. If the new fee is more than the previous fee, the Difference cell turns green, and the fee is a positive number. If the new fee is less than the previous fee, the cell turns red, and the fee is a negative number. Also, the edited cell in the AFTER column turns yellow.
  • When importing a spreadsheet or CVS file, if the file does not match the Dentrix Fee Schedule “Export” format, the Select Proc Column and Select Fee Column buttons are enabled, so you can manually select the procedure and fee columns for import.
