Generating Family Ledger Reports

Topic Progress:

At the end of the year, you may have patients who request a year-to-date printout of their account’s activity. The Family Ledger Report generates a patient’s account history of all their procedures, payments, adjustments, and service charges, which have posted to the Ledger.

Watch the following video to learn how to generate the Family Ledger Report. (Duration 2:00)

Additional Tips

  • The dates in the First Transaction Date and the Report Date fields act as a date range for the report. The First Transaction Date is the beginning date, and the Report Date is the ending date. To produce the data that you require, it’s important to enter the correct dates for the report.
  • By default, all current transactions that have posted since the previous month was closed will be included on the report. For example, if the last closed month was September, and the selected family has procedures entered on October 3rd, then October 3rd will be the date that appears in the First Transaction Date field.
  • When viewing the report, Dentrix labels items placed in history with an asterisk (*) and items in history, but entered after the month was close, are labeled with a caret (^).
