Generating a Day Sheet

Topic Progress:

The Day Sheet is a report that you should run to reconcile and review financial transactions (charges, payments, credit adjustments, charge adjustments, finance charges, and late charges) that you have posted to the Ledger each day. The Day Sheet also acts as a cross-check to ensure that everything that you should have posted was posted.

Additional Tips

  • In the Select Date group box, the Entry Date option reflects the system date when you posted the procedure. The Procedure Date option reflects the date entered when you posted the procedure, for example, if, you backdated a procedure.
  • If you choose the Entry Date option, the printed Day Sheet includes both an Entry Date and Procedure Date column, as well as a section that lists the Previous Balance, Balance as of, and Net Change.
  • If you print the report by entry date, Dentrix only prints the Year-to-Date (YTD) and previous month totals.
  • In the Select Totals group box of the Day Sheet dialog box, the Compare to Fee Schedule option lets you compare the current fee with a fee schedule that you select.
  • Run the Day Sheet to daily to check for posting errors.
  • To learn more about generating a Day Sheet, and to see an example of the report, read Day Sheet in Dentrix Help.
