Editing Appointment Statuses

Topic Progress:

You can assign statuses to each of your appointments, which indicates various aspects of a patient’s appointment. For example, statuses can indicate that a patient has confirmed their appointment, has arrived, is ready for the operatory, left a message, etc. Also, you edit each status to meet the needs of your practice.

Additional Tips

  • Dentrix includes ten pre-installed statuses, and each status consists of a unique identifying color (that appears in the Appointment Book and Appointment List), an abbreviation, and a brief definition.
  • You are limited to only ten statuses; however, you can edit or delete them as needed.
  • To learn more about editing an appointment status, read Customizing Appointment Status in Dentrix Help.
