Setting Up a Default Case Presentation Outline

Topic Progress:

Because patients are often unfamiliar with dental procedures, it may be helpful to show them the costs and insurance coverage breakdowns and/or other educational topics related to their procedures. The Treatment Planner Presenter can do just that, and you can outline the presentation to meet the specific needs of your patients.

Additional Tips

  • A default case presentation is created for each patient, which includes the following four case presentation items (each of which can be edited as needed):
    • Case Detail
    • Patient Chart (Arch View)
    • Patient Chart (Charting View)
    • Informed Consent Forms
  • Presentations are case specific. For instance, whichever case is selected when you modify the presentation is the only case that will be included in the presentation. However, to present treatment alternatives to your patients, you can create multiple case presentations.

Check Your Knowledge

If you have access to Dentrix, check your knowledge with this exercise.

  1. Switch to the Dentrix demo database.
(Skip this step if you are using the Dentrix Learning Edition software.)
  2. Create and save a case presentation outline named “Cost Analysis,” and have it only contain Insurance Benefit Information and Case Detail content.
  3. Arrange the content, so the Case Detail is displayed first.
