You can add additional members to any family. When you add new members, they will each have their own patient record; however, it will be attached to the other members of the family in their Family File.

Additional Tips
- If you’ve set up insurance coverage for the head of household, when you add a new family member Dentrix automatically assigns the head of household’s insurance coverage to the new family member as a dependent.
- Dentrix uses the patient’s birthdate to determine whether the patient should have primary or permanent dentition.
