The Demo database is a training tool that allows you to practice using Dentrix with fictional patient and practice information. While you use the Dentrix modules in demo mode, changes are written to an alternate database so that these do not affect your practice’s actual patient information.

Additional Tips
- All eService applications are shut down while you are connected to the Demo database to ensure that real patient information is not mistakenly transferred to or from this learning environment.
- The demo database has been known as the Sample Database or the Tutor Database. Some older documentation may still refer to these names.

Previous Versions
